Just one additional tree is a climate action!
You can start by purchasing just one tree seedling or seedlings for a full year (17 pcs) to offset your own carbon footprint. The planter of the seedling will be named on the diploma which is sent to your email as an order confirmation.
The next tree planting takes place in May and June 2022. All trees purchased now will be planted in Tuulisuo, in the Northern municipality of Vaala. More information about Tuulisuo can be found on the project page.
A Finn emits annually an average of 10,300 kg of CO2. By planting one seedling, you can offset your carbon footprint by approximately 21 days.

The area is dried peatland retired from peat production in the municipality of Vaala. There is still residual peat in the area, causing carbon dioxide and methane emissions.
In addition to future plantings, there are some seedlings in the area that need measures to ensure optimal growth. The area will be ash-fertilized, creating stellar conditions for the growth of seedlings to be planted as well as existing ones. In addition, any vegetation interfering with the growth of the seedlings is removed.
All measures are taken with the expertise and experience of the regional forest management association which has the best knowledge of local forestry and area management. Work in the area is ordered from local entrepreneurs.
